April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among the few female beach volleyball players that have achieved this feat. Alix-Klineman will be competing with April Ross in Tokyo for her third gold in the next few days. Ross wants to achieve more than her initial Olympic medal. There is a chance that it is her last chance at winning, as she's 39 old. Still confident but she is not sure. Ross through NBC Boston, said that when the team performs very well, or even at all, they could win a gold. "I'm trying to also try to have a bit of luck." Ross, who was born 1982 and lived in Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began participating in sports at Newport Harbor High school. While at Newport Harbor High School, she competed in numerous different sports. Being a pre-athlete, she also played indoor track and volleyball. But she stood out in this sport. As a college volleyball season in her university biography she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. The results of her efforts were acknowledged when she was named 1999 Gatorade's National Circle of Champions Players of the Year. She also won an Orange County Athlete of the of the year for volleyball. Although Ross Klineman and Ross have been doing their thing since 2017, the former had already been a major athlete on the beach even before the pair formed. She actually won several major championships while playing in the past with two different partners. one of which is a volleyball icon. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until 2013. Kessy and Ross were strong on the international circuit, winning the 2009 World Championship as a team. The 2012 Olympic Games, they won the gold medal. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team along with Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. The team won bronze in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. After high school and many years before hitting the beach as a professional Ross balled out to the Trojans at USC while an collegiate. Ross's time in the Trojans was amazing. In 2000, she was named Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman Of The Year and an All-American. The Trojans had the chance to make it to the Final Four with her help. The Trojans were devastated through a tragedy in her life during her sophomore years, yet she went on to be an All-American again. Over her final two years in the program she led the Trojans towards the summit by winning two consecutive national championships. As an individual, she established herself as an all-time great by winning the 2003-2004 Honda Sports Award as the nation's top female collegiate volleyball player. Ross was an international relations major at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the chance to watch her daughter grow into the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross lost her mother to breast cancer in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. However, she continues to remember her deceased parent close and dear. Margie has always been a source of inspiration to her in and out of the water.
